American Black Film Festival Fabness

You never really know what to expect when you're a blogger but Saturday was one of those days when you really appreciate the joy that comes from doing what you luv.......That's exactly what I found myself thinking repeatedly  as I spent my Saturday supporting the American Black Film Festival. The American Black Film Festival (ABFF) is a four-day retreat and international film market created to spearhead distribution opportunities for independent film makers. The event took place in Miami and really opened my eyes to the wants and needs of African Americans in film.

I first attended the premiere of Dysfuntional Friends  scripted and directed by Corey Grant and produced by Datari Turner. Dysfunctional friends is all about a group of estranged friends who come together when one of their larger than life college friend dies bringing them all together. It was a sunny/rainy extra hot day so I wore a printed top, linen black shorts, black wedge shoes, beautiful silver earrings and topped it all off with a red lip. How do I look?

Later that evening I had the privilege of attending the American Black Film Festival's Honor Awards Ceremony and the Celebs definitely were out to show support!
