Pretty Little Liars!

If there's one thing you should know about the Frugal Flirty N Fab, It's that I like Pretty Things! My mother likes Pretty things and so did her mother before her so that's just the way it is. Add a cute price onto a nice dress, fab shoes etc and I'm sold! That's exactly what happened when I entered Charlotte Russe on Sunday. I ran into these beauties and this is how the story goes......

It was instant luv at first sight in the store. It was the only pair left, perfect size 6, and they were marked down from the original price of $40 to $10! Match made in heaven or so I thought! I found it funny that I even saw these shoes considering I just did a post the other day on Spikes and Studds. I tried them on, glided over the floor twice then proceeded to the register with the biggest smile on my face!

I couldn't wait to wear these beauties so first thing yesterday morning I got up, put on my fiercest black and white print dress and headed to the office to show everyone who the real Boss was, and that's when things started to go astray......

By the time I reached the office I was in so much pain I could hardly walk from the parking garage to my fourth floor office. How could something so beautiful be so painful? I mean I could barely even perform my catwalk in the hallway to get my coffee due to the terrible numbness that was happening with my feet. It was a little embarrassing considering there are only 3 females in the entire office and the 2 of them were both out yesterday. Don't get me wrong I received many compliments on the shoes but I am positive the fact that I was holding my breath with every step was way more than noticeable!

And if that wasn't bad enough, for lunch I decided to walk across the street to pick up my order of Special Fried Rice turning a 2 minute walk into one of the worst walks of shame in my life!!!!Oh the horror! I couldn't wait to get home yesterday to take them off. The lesson I learned is sometimes, things that appear so perfect on the outside can quickly become Pretty Little Liars! Do I regret buying the shoes, No, Will I wear them again, Maybe, maybe not. It just goes back to what I said in the beginning. I really like pretty things so just seeing them sitting on my shoe shelf is somehow good enough for me.....How do you handle spur of the moment purchases that turn out to be not so good for you buys?

Well I am coming up on my 10th year anniversary so this years collection is all about my brand getting bigger, more grown up, sexy, and mature. I really want to show my growth from where I started nearly 10 years ago to today. With the new Havana Nights collection you are definitely going to see more leopard prints, retro fun, luxury fabrics, and tons of color.

How did the Collaboration with Christina Milian come about?
The Havana Nights Collection by Christina Milian for Nicolita embodies a sexy and sultry style with fashion forward cover-ups that transition from day to night. Christina Milian’s Cuban roots and jet-set lifestyle was a key inspiration for the collection. I knew from the very first moment we met that Christina was the person for  the Nicolita Brand. We hit it off from the very beginning and shared similar Cuban upbringings.

Where do you see the Nicolita Brand 10 years from now?
Style is definitely evolving and consistency is always changing but you can always count on Nicolita to provide you with that Latino flair. I look forward to working more with the Family Reunification Fund and remaining a powerful influence in my community.

Last night I  had the opportunity to attend the exclusive invite only showing of the Vanessa Simmons Rose by Vanessa Jean Swimwear showing as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim Miami at the Raleigh Hotel. Vanessa kept it grown and sexy with a midnight showing of her collection in the Penthouse Suite of the Hotel. Here's the thought behind the collection.

Backstage with Nicolita Swim at MBFWS!

Happy Saturday Fab Fashionistas! I hope everyones Saturday is off to a great start. I just wanted to take some time to talk to you about my night spent backstage at the MBFWS Nicolita show last night. Hopefully I can give you a first hand look at the magic that happens before the models hit the runway.......

I arrived ready to soak up the Nicolita magic at around 8:30 last night.

This is what it looked liked once I reached the backstage area, Models, Makeup Artists, and Hairstylists Oh My!

Got this beautiful shot of the gorgeous Christina Milian getting her hair and makeup done for the nights festivities. She was such a sweetheart and more petite than I expected. Christina was obviously excited about the premiere of her Havana Nights Collection.

Took this great picture with Christina and we chatted about her starting her very own childrens line which Christina stated was already in the works. 2 things I really luv about Christina are her fashion sense and the fact that when you see her you know her daughter Violet is someone near and thats how it should be for Powerhouse Moms on the go!

Ran into one of my favorite dancers Cheryl Burke of Dancing with the Stars showing her love and support for Nicolita Swim.

Finally made my way to the lady of the evening Nicole Di Rocco designer of Nicolita Swim who was glowing with excitement. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed seeing someone so passionate about what she does. Stay tuned as I bring you a look inside what motivates the creations of Nicole in our detailed interview.
