Sweater Weather and the Fit of the Day!

Happy Tuesday FABulites, I hope everyone is off to a fantastic start this Tuesday! The South Florida weather is absolutely gorgeous today but I feel almost guilty enjoying it knowing first hand what the people are experiencing on the East Coast. My prayers are definitely with everyone experiencing the wrath of Sandy and I pray for your safety and the safety of your loved ones. On the news this morning they stated we have about 3 days to wear our sweaters before we turn right back into Hot South Florida and trust, they didn't have to tell me twice!

I absolutely luv this striped sweater, Best of all it was a steal at only $12.50 and look how it compliments my blue pleated dress. Perfect example of how you can stay warm, look cute, and remain on budget! Tried something a little new with my hair today also, How do I look? How do you prepare for Sweater Weather?

Monday Madness and Fit of the Day!

Happy Monday  FABulites, I hope everyone enjoyed a GREAT weekend! I managed to catch a couple good Redbox movies, did some bargain shopping, and even managed to get in on the Early voting YAY!! Speaking of shopping the most horrendous thing happened while I was shopping with my Hubby on Saturday. We walked into one of my stores and the sales rep called me by my name and proceeded to discuss with me in detail all the new merchandise in stock!! Now I knew the only reason she knew who I was was simply because I took the time to pass out my business cards and introduce the girls to my blog a couple weeks prior. But to my Hubby when the store employees know you on a first name basis its because you have done some damage in the store. I thought about pretending I had no idea who she was talking to but after another of the employees told me it was good seeing me again I knew I was busted! But hey, what's a Budgetista to do?? Friday Fit of the Day!!!!

TGIF FABulites!!! I am so excited that I finally did what I said for once and completed and entire week of Personal Style Posts!!!! Now let me just warn you thats today's Outfit of the day was clearly brought to you by Hurrican Sandy. Please do not judge my boots! We dropped down into the upper 70's this morning and I immediately felt compelled to throw them on. Next week Tuesday we are expected to wake up to temperatures in the 50's so get ready to see thigh high boots and of course my faux fur!!!! Fashion Double Standards and Outfit of the Day!

Happy Thursday FABulites! Hope you day is going well as always! We are experiencing the outer effects of Hurricane Sandy so the South Florida Weather is not so nice today but we'll get through it. So I have this habit of many years telling people how much I paid for certain things and its not because I'm a showoff it's because I absolutely LUV telling people about the great deals I find. But after the experience I had yesterday I just might want to rethink my actions. Yesterday in the elevator at work there was this nicely dressed woman with a super fab bag so I stated, "I luv your bag"!

 She responded by telling me she spent 1500 on the bag, another 800 on the shoes and over 500 on the accessories she was wearing. I was stunned and didn't really know how to respond! In my head she'd just called me a basic bi*** which lead to me giving her a virtual slap!! She was headed to the Penthouse suite and I was headed to the 4th floor so I purposely pushed the buttons for floors 7,8, and 9 just to give her a little time to think about her inappropriate response. As a bargain shopper I luv telling people even strangers how much I've spent on certain items, but the question I have today is, Is it OK to do the same when you purchase expensive items? Did I have the right to be offended by someone who did what I have done on numerous occasions just on different ends of the pay scale? Is it ever ok to discuss pricing after receiving a fashion compliment? Soundoff on the Frugal Flirty N Fab!

Happy Hump Day FABulites! Not the best weather today but a beautiful day none the less! Being that I got rained on this morning while completing my morning workout I knew immediately that I didn't want to take too much time fussing with my look today. When I'm short on time but want to keep it cute I always resort to a great print, my puff, and top it all off  with pride! Take a look!

 

 

I scoped this shirt out a couple months ago but didn't think it was worth the $30 pricetag so I hung in there until it was discounted to 9.99 getting it for a steal. Prints are everything right now and to me the more the merrier so getting these for $15 was a deal! Frugal, Flirty N Fab indeed!

Date Night at the Fashion Designers Expo!

Saturday night I had a hot date with Fashion at the Fashion Designers Expo Runway Shows in Soho! FDE is an exciting Internationally Cultured Fashion Week designed to show the world new fashion superstars, showcasing the latest and greatest in emerging talents. On the runway guests were treated to showcases from BFF Wear, Makers Shoes, Christian Segui, Joel Franklin Bow Ties, Jama Clothing, JRod Designs, Bionic Girls, Young Designer Award Winner Tumisola Ladega, and a host of other talented designers, Take a look!

 

Before we get into the fashions of the evening lets get into my Peplum black dress! Its amazing how the right dress can make you feel....They say this is a mans world, but i'll be damned if i'm not a force in it!

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 The Fashion Designers Expo 2012 Fall Runway Show turned out to be a marvelous night for Fashion and one helluva hot date! The showcases were amazing and the passion that flowed from each of the designers was unimaginably fab! The show ended with Kids from all around Florida gathered in Pink in support of Breast Cancer Survivors, Amazing! Special thanks to De'Hollie Wood and the FDE Team for making this an unforgettable event!

Art of Transformation

 

Friday night thanks to my family at Circle House Marketing I had the pleasure of attending the Art of Transformation Gala at the Opa Locka Airport, Celebrating the historic past, present, and bright future of the Opa-Locka Community. Special Musical guest were none other than En Vogue and when I tell you I had the time of my life, please trust and believe. Allow me to walk you through my night.

When I found out the attire for the night was Cocktail Chic I knew this  was my Pretty Woman moment and I totally ran with it! As an up and coming blogger its currently not too often that I get the opportunity to dress up, so when this gorgeous bright red dress called out to me I obviously answered the call and pictured the possibilities...dramatic much (YES)!!

As most of you already know red is my favorite color so wearing it on such a powerful night kept me with a smile on my face.

Not only do I talk about being Frugal Flirty N Fab, I live the Lifestyle. This Calvin Klein dress was $49.99 at Ross and gave me everything I needed and more!

I Must admit that knowing I would be in the same room as En Vogue also played a large part in this look. I always remeber them being dressed so classy and chic.

The Art of Transformation was hosted by Channel 10 News Anchor Calvin Hughes and featured an open bar, catering by Ramelles, DJ by Plan Beats and of course a  live performance by Soul Divas En Vogue.

En Vogue hit the stage singing all their latest and greatest hits including Hold On, Giving him Something He Can feel, and You don't have to worry! They looked and sounded unbelievable and were the perfect entertainers for talks of transformations!!

  It was a great and memorable night for the city of Opa Locka that neither myself nor any of the Art of Transformation attendees will ever forget! Are you currently working on a transformation?
