Drop Your Pants with Depend The #Underwareness Movement!

Hello FABulites! While many of you have come to know me as a Fashionista, Mommy Blogger, Girl about Town, I'd also like for you to know me as that someone who uses her blog to discuss important happenings in our communities and things that affect us on more of a individual basis. Today I'd like to discuss with you and educate you on the #Underawareness Movement! The #dropyourpants for #Underawareness Movement is a social movement and charitable cause where Depend will donate $1 up to $3Million over the next 3 years to charities that advance the research, education, and awareness of bladder leakage. While you might not currently like myself be affected by bladder leakage I think it's pretty safe to say we all know someone who is which makes Depend and this campaign even more awesome! To clear up a little of the misconceptions about Depends I decided to sit down with my cousin Angie who's been using Depend for over 2 years now without any worries and get her thoughts on the whole movement.  Here's how our Interview went.

1. When did you first experience bladder leakage?
I first realized I had a bladder leakage problem shortly after I was diagnosed with Diabetes at the age of 27. I didn't know what was happening immediately I just knew whenever I laughed too hard, worked out, or while conducting my everyday activities it was becoming more and more impossible for me to control my bladder.

2. What feelings did you have when you originally realized you had bladder leakage?
At first I was very confused because from the little i knew about bladder leakage I thought it was something that only older women experienced. I later came to find out from my doctor that bladder leakage is most common in older women but can be experienced by both men and women of all ages and is very common in athletes and during pregnancies.

3. Do you have any tips or advice for others experiencing bladder leakage?
Just to go on with your lives! Depend provides a variety of discreet products that help people regain their freedom and get their lives back, including: Depend Real Fit for Men and Silhouette for Women briefs: Look, fit and feel like real underwear and feature a cloth-like fabric for a sleek, ultra-smooth fit and Depend Underwear with Fit-Flex protection: Features more Lycra stands for a smooth and comfortable close-to-the-body fit.

Special thanks to my cousin Angie for helping us understand a little more about leakage plus a huge Thank you to Depend for taking a stand against bladder leakage! 1. Some people got an obstructed catheter once in a while and utilized a bladder waste of time to clear it. This is finished by flushing out the bladder with a clean saline or acidic arrangement through the catheter into the bladder.
