Baby Fab Does the Movies!

Happy Monday Luvs! I hope everyone enjoyed a great weekend! For as long as I can remember I've been an avid movie fan. Watching movies is one of my guilty pleasures and I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Things have really slowed down since the birth of BabyFab but when I felt the Need for Speed I knew the timing was right for him to attend his first movie.

We chose the early afternoon time (12:00) because I figured if BabyFab somehow went on a screaming spree, fewer people would be affected, but little did I know BabyFab behaved just the opposite. His behavior was downright amazing! He was asleep in his carrier/stroller travel system when we first entered the theater and the volume inside the theater was perfect and didn't bother him or wake him at all! I was pleasantly surprised by the movie theater setup. It was very easy for me to find a seat where I had a full visual of him and also where I could get up and leave if his behavior warranted it. He managed to stay sleep for maybe the first 45 minutes of the movie and once awake I fed him his bottle and he spent the remainder of the time sitting on my lap smiling and cooing at the screen. He absolutely loved the movies! Not only did I find the movie theater very accommodating but I also found out that they offer a certified babysitting service for kids ages 3-8  for a $9 charge so parents can enjoy the movie without having to worry about their kids as well. Can somebody say genius idea! All in all at 3months BabyFab gets an A for his first movie experience and I can't wait to do it again.
Have you ever taken your baby to the movies and if so what your experience like?

Prom Dress Fantasies!

It's one of the most important times in a young woman's life, It's Prom and every Diva deserves to show up in a dress that not only easily slays the other dresses in the room but also isn't afraid to show up and show out! It's your chance to not only tell a little about who you are but also showcase your very own individual sense of style! Today the Frugal Flirty N Fab and JenJenHouse would like to help you have the prom of your dreams by providing you with a couple of things you want to keep in mind when selecting the all so Important Prom Dress....Let's begin  shall we......

prom

Let's not kid ourselves,  Prom night is all about the dress and the more spectacular the dress  the more exciting your prom will be! I mean let's be real, who doesn't dream of having their very own Pretty Woman moment at their senior prom, minus the whole paid prostitute thing of course! Although these are your girls and you love then, your prom dress should make every girl in the room rethink the dress she chose, be the standout in the room of mediocrity and single handedly make you the Belle of the Ball! There shouldn't be a guy in the room not slapping himself  for not taking the time out to get to know you better,or any girl who isn't slapping herself for choosing her prom dress over yours. In other words your dress should make you feel like the Numero Uno head Princess in a sea of many. Last but not least your prom dress should be love at first sight. You shouldn't have to think about it or choose between it and your top 3 choices but instead know immediately without hesitation that you've picked the dress of your dreams for a night you'll never forget! I hope I was able to assist you in fulfilling your prom dress fantasies. For this and additional Special Occassion dresses please make sure to visit my friends at JenJenHouse and tell em the Frugal Flirty N Fab sent ya!

Fabulites, What did you wear to your Senior Prom and more importantly How did your selection make you feel?

The Magic of Jazz in the Gardens!

Have you ever experienced a weekend so perfectly entertaining, amusing, and downright FABulous that a part of you can't get over the fact that it even happened? Thanks to Circle of One Marketing, The city of Miami Gardens, and some of my favorite artist such as Trey Songz, Jamie Foxx, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Stanley Clark, Boney James, Mint Condition, Rachelle Ferrell, and a host of others that's exactly what I experienced March 15th and 16th at the 9th annual Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival! Listen, I wobbled with the crowd of thousands, dougied with Doug E Fresh, Felt motivated with Kelly Rowland and damn near cried with my baby Anthony Hamilton! I'll spare you the details on what almost happened when Kevin Hart and Nelly appeared, or when LL licked his lips! Yes my weekend was just that special, Allow me to walk you through some of the highlights.

With last years attendance reaching over 63,000 I can't wait to hear the amount of folks who attended this year. The event was hosted by funny man DL Hughley and as you can see brought out Miami's finest including one of my favorite couples Dwyane Wade and Being Mary Jane's own Gabrielle Union. I luv how Gabby gets loose when the beat drops! Clearly like myself both are huge music fans!

The legend, the Luver LL Cool J, need I say more.........

LL performed a medley of his greatest hits showing the crowd why he lives up to the title of the Greatest of All Time!

Anthony's attire gave me a mix between a semi pimp and out of work cowboy but when he started singing one of my all time favorites, Charlene I promise I was ready to search the crowd for her and get the two of them back together! Anthony's voice is absolutely soul stirring and if you've never had the chance to see him in concert, Step ya game up!

Luv my girl Kelly Rowlands performance! Sexy, Sultry and made you wanna immediately throw on some curly weave and oh yeah Hit up your nearest gym! Toned to the God's Ms. Kelly Rowland!

Glimpse of Sunday's Jazz in the Gardens crowd! Its amazing to see so many people get together and have such a great time.

For Saturdays lineup I hit the festival running in this super cute floral jumpsuit and Steve Madden wedges! I quickly changed out of my wedges after I nearly bust my butt not once but twice heading into the media area! Hey you live and you learn! Thanks for allowing me to share my Jazz in the Gardens weekend with you all and Next year I hope to Meet ya there!
Did you attend the 9th Annual Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival? What was your most memorable part of the weekend? Are you planning on attending Next Years Festival? Either way share our thoughts with the Frugal Flirty N Fab! She'd luv to hear from ya!

Throwback Thursday--She Gotta Dunk!

Every time I turn around there's another picture or video of someone who has just gotten butt implants or injections and I just hope these girls (and boys) know what they are getting into! Yes the booty was made famous by stars like Beyonce, Serena Williams, and J. Lo but the measures some are taking is absolutely unbelievable! Don't get me wrong cause Yes,  there's power in the Dunk, but  to risk your life for a Dunk is just absurd!  Yes it will probably help you further your career and might even make it easier for you to get the things you want a lot faster ,but when the dunk has taken you as far as you can possibly go then what? After yours has been gawked at, admired, played with, profiled, tapped, and worshiped repeatedly some new hot thing with a even bigger  more improved dunk will push you right out the spotlight. After you have lived out your 15 minutes of fame and you're stuck with the extra baggage of having to carry the dunk,  clothe the dunk, deal with the costs of keeping the dunk lifted, and having men treat you like you are some sort of freak because of the dunk,  Will it even be worth the pain and agony?  I mean after all, its just a dunk!

Fab's Celebrity Look of the Week!

Happy Hump Day FABulites! Today the Frugal Flirty N Fab is all about Celebrity Style! I've scowered the net in search of the looks that caught my eye this week and below for one reason or another are my favorites!

Celebrity Style

I'm not sure what's happening or maybe it's just me, but Jennifer Hudson has been slaying em since she got the new hair cut. It's like her style transitioned and you can see the confidence all over her face...Yes. Ms. Hudson! My girl Rihanna is doing what Rihanna does best, putting on a fashion show as only she can, don't try this at home kids and can we just bask in the glory of her jacket........I've always been a fan of Estelle's style and this skirt is just one of the many reasons why, head to toe perfection my lady. They say Lupita is new to this fashion thing but the fashionista in me begs to differ. She may be new to the Celebrity aspect of it, but one look and you know this girl was Born to Style! Last but not least it's my girl Khloe giving us Bad Ass and not giving a damn about it...Killin em softely Khloe! Ok you got my input on my top looks now will it be Jennifer, Rihanna, Lupita, Estelle, or Khloe for Fab's overall Celeb Look of the Week?

Fab's Top 10 Tips to Bargain Shopping!

If there's one thing the Frugal Flirty N Fab knows about it's Bargain shopping! I don't know when it started or how it came about but I pride myself on being a self proclaimed bargain shopping fashionista!  If there's a deal to be found, I'll find it. The best thing about having this gift is that I luv sharing it with others. With these tips anyone can go from retail connoisseur to bargain diva  for sure in no time . Lets get into my Top 10 Tips to Bargain Shopping.

  1. Shop during the Weekdays. On the weekends it's harder to search through racks due to the amount of people crowding the stores, and if you know anything about shopping you'd know that by the time the weekends roll around the best deals have already been purchased.
  2.  If you have certain spots that you frequent, do yourselves a favor and find out what days of the week the new inventory comes in. I know for most Ross stores they put out new merchandise every Tuesday. Tuesdays are also senior discount day so keep your eyes opened and don't be afraid to wrestle if you have too!
  3.  Its one thing to shop clearance items but if you're really looking to get the most bang for your buck shop when you can get an additional discount taken off the clearance prices. I hit up my local 2b Stores last week when they were having take an additional 75% off the already marked down clearance prices and purchased 3 pairs of jeans for an amazing 25 bucks! Jeans never go out of style!
  4. Shop when you have the time to really look through the clearance racks and can devote your time to finding the best deal possible. You're probably not going to make the best purchasing decision when you're in a rush, or have a headache or  a crying toddler in tow.
  5. Hit up end of season sales. Winter may be over but guess what, it'll be returning in a couple months so go ahead and purchase those discounted sweaters.
  6. Shop alone, I've never really shopped with someone who shared my exact taste and there's nothing worst than finding something you really like that your shopping boo hates. Just because it might not work for them doesn't mean it won't work for you. Besides who wants to deal with shopping regrets.....
  7. Shop early, timing is everything and makes all the difference between finding the bargain of a lifetime and just getting the leftovers no one else wants
  8.  Before you even head out or hit up your favorite online shops, look for coupons. I can't even put into words how rewarding it feels to whip out a couple for additional saving on top of your already discounted purchase price. This makes me smile because my son just asked me on Saturday, Mom is there anything you don't have a coupon for....Nope!
  9. Sign up for all the email clubs you can find. Most stores offer  additional discounts to their subscribers that might not be offered to the general public. If they spam you or you find that you can't use what their offering you can always unsubscribe.
  10. Don't be afraid to travel the road less taken. There's always a hidden gem in the rough where you least expect to find it.. True story,  There was this little boutique that I always by passed by because I was never really attracted to any of the items in the window. One day they put a going out of business sale offering everything at 80% off. I went in for the first time and walked out with a $25 authentic Versace dress. I'm not even going to lie, I wore that dress until the seams came off and from that point on I knew, no stores were off limits!

That's it for my top 10 tips to Bargain Shopping. I hope you find this information useful the next time you find yourself in search of a bargain!
