Nicole Di Rocco the Force Behind Nicolita Swim!

Nicole Di Rocco is the amazing designer /owner behind Nicolita Swim. Nicole's Inspiration is a direct result of her Cuban Roots and experience growing up in Malibu California. Nicole's creates bikini collections that are reminiscent of Cuba's alluring 1940's era, with a California beach twist. Designed for the sexy curvaceous Latina figure, Nicolita’s signature Cuban-style bottoms flatters every body type. The Cuban-style bottoms compliment a women’s shape by providing more coverage on the hips, a heart-shaped backside and ‘no-pinch fit’ elastic. I had the most amazing time speaking  Nicole  just 2 days before her big Nicolita Swim Havana Nights showing at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. Here's what we discussed.

What can we expect to see from this years collection?
Well I am coming up on my 10th year anniversary so this years collection is all about my brand getting bigger, more grown up, sexy, and mature. I really want to show my growth from where I started nearly 10 years ago to today. With the new Havana Nights collection you are definitely going to see more leopard prints, retro fun, luxury fabrics, and tons of color.

How did the Collaboration with Christina Milian come about?
The Havana Nights Collection by Christina Milian for Nicolita embodies a sexy and sultry style with fashion forward cover-ups that transition from day to night. Christina Milian’s Cuban roots and jet-set lifestyle was a key inspiration for the collection. I knew from the very first moment we met that Christina was the person for  the Nicolita Brand. We hit it off from the very beginning and shared similar Cuban upbringings.

Where do you see the Nicolita Brand 10 years from now?
Style is definitely evolving and consistency is always changing but you can always count on Nicolita to provide you with that Latino flair. I look forward to working more with the Family Reunification Fund and remaining a powerful influence in my community.
