A Bloggers Will to Own Her Shit!

In the beginning I was just another 30 something Blogging Mama with a dream. A dream of being financially independent, a dream of being able to show my kids that hard work really pays off, a dream of being able to do something I really love. On Saturday March 25th, 2017 I got that much closer to making my dream a reality with the opening of Boutique Sales Chic!  Now sit back and let me explain how I got there!

Bloggin-Business Owners- Fashion Boutiques- Shopping- Goals

For years I blogged at the Frugal Flirty N Fab with one goal in mind, Get Free Stuff. It wasn't until after I began connecting with other Bloggers and actually learning about blogging that I discovered just how lucrative and self satisfying it could actually be. I started out as a fashion blogger but as a woman in her late 30's it was rather hard getting opportunities and keeping my audience entertained and engaged with just fashion alone. There were definitely times I wanted to just throw in the towel.

In 2014 things began to lookup for me and my blogging. I was blessed with the beautiful birth of my son at the end of 2013 and once again I began to ask myself those rather difficult questions. What can I do to spend as much time as I can with my new bundle of joy, how can I make sure I provide the best life possible for my kids, what direction did I see my future and career heading in? Once again I leaned on my blog for the answer.

It was those very questions that encouraged me to change my blog from solely a fashion blog to now a lifestyle blog. This allowed me to talk about more of what I dealt with on a daily basis plus allowed me to still talk fashion as much as I liked. Without looking back I became the Fashion, Fitness, Food, Music, Film, Travel, Mommy, Family and Lifestyle Blog I dreamed of. While blogging was much more fulfilling for me at this stage I often felt like there was something that was just missing. That's when one day in one of my blogging groups the discussion of using your blog to assist you in getting to that one thing you're most passionate about came into play. While I absolutely love blogging, the one thing I'd always dreamed of having was my own little fashion boutique and from that day forward it was all about getting it.

Putting your fears aside and whole heartedly going after your dreams can be a really scary thing. So scary that I even spent 10 years in a job with no raise, no possibility of advancing, no fulfillment whatsoever because of it. On a daily basis I said I was going to leave but the comforts of staying were just easier to deal with than the possibility of never fulfilling my dream. In November of 2016 that job that I told you about closed it's doors and I ended up being laid off. Through no actions of my own I had finally been given what I asked for.  Life has a funny ways of pushing you to reach your full potential right?

For the first month or so after being laid off I wasn't sure exactly what I was going to do. All I knew was that I had my Blog, and that I had to be super strong for my family. By the time January of 2017 rolled around I was  in a new space. Now I was all about providing quality content to my blog, learning ways to grow my blog monthly, and ultimately being able to use my blog earnings to fund my passion not knowing that on March 25th my Dream would become a Reality.

Just a week ago I along with my business partner (Daughter) opened Boutique Sales Chic. It's an online boutique that sells Clothing, Shoes, and Accessories at Chic everyday prices and I've been walking on cloud nine since. Although it's a new shop it gives me the opportunity to Own my own Boutique, Learn and Grow with my Daughter, Potentially earn the income that I've always dreamed of and Supply a demand for affordable fashions! I am totally in Business Woman Heaven!

Who knew that the will to Wear Pretty Dresses and Own my Own Ish would lead me here? Never underestimate a Bloggers will to get things done by any means necessary. It's one of my favorite things about blogging. We can and will make a way out of no way and for this ability I am forever grateful. At this moment the Frugal Flirty N Fab is thriving and Boutique Sales Chic is  growing daily and I couldn't be more inspired. I'm writing this post and telling my story in hopes of motivating and inspiring those of you dealing  with a dream deferred. Go Get It!

Thank you to all of you who have inspired me, supported  me, taught me, and pushed me to realize my dream and more. The best is certainly yet to come. What steps are you taking to make your dreams a reality and own your own shit?
