Unless you've been under a rock you've heard about the senseless killings that took place at Marjory Stoneman Douglass High School in Parkland Florida last week. This grim reality turned my eventually into today as I had the task of talking to my teenage son about what to do if ever there's a active shooter on his school campus. Forget eventually, why do we ever have to have conversations like this with our kids? Why is the this our new reality? What can we do today to keep this from eventually happening again?
Something a little more positive that happened this week was the release of Marvels Black Panther! I was a little nervous when I got to the movie theatre on Friday night and my hubby and I were the only ones inside (we were 45 minutes early), but eventually that all changed and there were tons of movie goers basking in the glory of the Wakanda nation! Besides the movie being fantastic I found myself absolutely obsessed with all the Black Panther inspired fashions. Clearly we didn't come to play!
This week I'm also preparing for my 1st Year Anniversary of Boutique Sales Chic. Can you believe it's been a year already? What I wanted was to give women a place where they could find boutique style clothing without breaking the bank and what I got has been so much more! It's been a great year and now it's time to celebrate! I want to celebrate Women, I want to celebrate Business, I want to celebrate Life and all the good and not so good that comes along with it! FABulites. Let's Celebrate!
