Fabulites, To say I lead a super busy life is a complete understatement! Between being the Mom of 3, Loving Wife, Brand Building, Blog Creating, Full time Working, Fitness Craving, Shoe Loving, Fashionista that I am, It's amazing I even manage to stay sane! One way I manage to keep it all together is by getting a little help from the Experts around me or friends in my head and one such helper just happens to be the November Essence Beauty Box! Let's take a look!
The Essence Beauty Box is a curated monthly subscription of beauty products specifically for women of color to help us stay up to date with what's new and innovative while also celebrating our beauty. the subscription includes products specifically designed for our shades and skin tones and is delivered monthly right to your door step. You simply select the plan you'd like and then like clockwork you'll receive your box of 5 products faithfully. As if that wasn't enough Essence strives to provide us with products from Black Owned Businesses in each subscription. Who could ask for anything more right???
The Subscription came in this really pretty box which before I could even open it up to see what was inside I already knew I was going to be pleasantly surprised! I'm all about great packaging, and a pretty Red Box with Great Artwork wins me over every time!
As soon as I opened the box I was greeted with a lovely greeting from Pamela Edwards Christiani, Beauty and Style Director at Essence, giving me a warm welcome plus giving me a heads up on the products I would find inside. I thought it was a nice touch letting your customers know a little about each of the products they'd be receiving as well as a coupon for future purchases and a heads up as to what they can expect from the following months subscription. I hadn't even gotten to the actual products yet but already it was obvious I was sold! Nicely done Essence Beauty Box! Classy!
Two of the products that jumped out at me right away were the DevaCurl No-Poo and One Condition Decadence. If you are at all familiar with the Frugal Flirty N Fab then you know that I've been living La Vida Natural for the past 3 years and sometimes get a little overwhelmed with all the different products I run into when considering trying something new. Thanks to the fine folks at Essence that should no longer be an issue for me! Yes! I also appreciate the fact that the products you receive are the perfect size and amount for you to figure out if it's a Win or Lose with the products. Beats paying ridiculous prices for products you end up hating or throwing away any day! There was also a Fekkai Hair Fragrance Mist included (pictured below). According to Deena Campbell, Beauty and Hair Editor at Essence.com., This product is awesome to stick in your gym bag after a grueling spin class for an instant refresher. I definitely take Deena's word for it and can't wait to try it out!
I always hear my Beauty Friends talking about Smashbox cosmetics and now thanks to the Essence Beauty Box, I can get in on the fun myself! As a blogger I'm always out and about attending events and what not so hopefully now with the Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara my lashes will look the part!
One of my latest and newest obsessions just so happens to be matte lipstick! Trust and believe I'll be putting this Black Opal Color Splurge Luxe Matte Lipstick to work. Nykia Spradley, Essence Beauty Editor says, "Dust a bit of translucent powder in between your first and second layer to help the color have longer staying power". Who knew? For the Lotion lovers a sample size of Suave Professional Moroccan Infusion Body Lotion was included as well. One thing a Girl can never get enough of is good quality lotion! Ashy skin is a Body Sin and remember you heard that from me!
Thanks for allowing me to share with you my very first Essence Beauty Box. I enjoyed this so much and you can be sure my December Review will be posted as well! Have you experienced Essence Beauty Box? Sign up for it today here so we can compare notes next month!
